Most-Weekly Net to start December 2nd, 2010.

Club members at the meeting tonight (18th of November) expressed a desire to have a regular net, to encourage the development of skills and to well, have some fun!

Hopefully, those that are otherwise available but not able to attend in person, will find that having these most-weekly nets will be a great opportunity to interact.

We also encourage all operators to monitor the club repeater and periodically identify yourself as monitoring the repeater - you never know when or with whom you'll be able to strike up a conversation!

So - don't be shy - identify!

Whether it's for the net, or pottering about the house, or driving about: if you're in range, it doesn't hurt to identify yourself to the repeater every so-often, so that others that happen to be available can perhaps interact - it's a great way to get to know your rig, improve our on-air skills, and, perhaps, get to know some more people to boot!

A script will be prepared and made available, and a roster created with assignments for net control and backup net control operators, so that the job is not just one person's, and, so that everyone can benefit from the experience of being the net control operator.

All the Best!
